Harry Kane might not be the only big-name Tottenham star new manager Ange Postecoglou has to cope without next season, as one of Kane’s team-mates has reportedly agreed personal terms ahead of a big transfer.

Bayern Munich continue to be vocal about trying to sign England captain Kane. Earlier on Tuesday, Bayern president Herbert Hainer explained how the striker would ‘do us and the Bundesliga good’, with the German top flight supposedly lacking in ‘international stars’ at the moment.

Bayern have already had two bids rejected for Kane, worth £60million and £70m respectively. They are expected to return with a third, improved offer, although they might have to fend off Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

As per the latest from L’Equipe, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has employed super-agent Pini Zahavi to try and help finalise a deal with Tottenham for Kane. Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer would be replacing Kylian Mbappe if he did move to the French capital.

Midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg may also be representing a new club when the 2023-24 season officially gets underway. On Tuesday, Spanish source Mundo Deportivo claimed Hojbjerg has asked Spurs if he can leave after Atletico Madrid expressed their interest in signing him.

Fellow Spanish outlet AS have now provided their information on the transfer hunt. They state that Atleti boss Diego Simeone is eager to bolster his midfield this summer without having to break the bank and has decided on Hojbjerg as the perfect solution.

And the La Liga outfit have made progress in their bid to sign the 27-year-old, having struck a full agreement on personal terms with him.

Spurs are ‘increasingly open’ to his potential exit. The report claims they will sell Hojbjerg if a bid worth between €35-40million (£30-34.3m) comes in.

Tottenham ace ‘looking for new house’ in Spain

Intriguingly, Hojbjerg is thought to be ‘looking for a new house in Madrid’ as he prepares for his prospective La Liga switch.

While there are doubts over whether Hojbjerg would suit Postecoglou’s high-octane style of play, his departure would still represent a blow. Hojbjerg has bags of Premier League experience, having made 218 appearances in the competition for both Spurs and Southampton.

He is also a leader and will likely be one of the most vocal players in the Spurs dressing room. So his exit could leave Postecoglou with a big hole to fill in the squad.

Recent reports have suggested Spurs may try to land Franck Kessie from Barcelona as a midfield replacement for the Denmark international.

Kessie was linked with several English clubs, including Spurs, when he was coming towards the end of his AC Milan contract last summer. Ultimately, Kessie joined Barca on a free transfer.

The Ivorian is now available for transfer though and this has put Spurs on alert. They will have to fight off Juventus in order to capture Kessie.

Meanwhile, an important Spurs player has discussed the offers he has received to leave the club, but he has no intention of doing so this summer.
