Transfer Gossip: Postecoglou eyes stunning triple Tottenham deal with Man Utd beaten to signing No 1; Chelsea and Inter Milan in three-player swap deal

Ange Postecoglou plans to kick-off his Tottenham era with a stunning triple swoop, Chelsea are offering Inter Milan two players to sign a top star, while Monday’s Transfer Gossip has news of an Aston Villa and Newcastle battle for an unwanted Man Utd defender.

TOTTENHAM TARGET QUICKFIRE TRIPLE SUMMER TRANSFER SWOOP

Ange Postecoglou wants to make early inroads into shaping the Tottenham squad his way by sealing three early summer deals.

The Greece-born Australian has been chosen by Daniel Levy to lead a bright new era at N7. And after the club’s woeful run of results towards end of the season that saw them slip from fourth to eighth, he will hope the only way is up.

Now the 57-year-old is eyeing three quality additions to take Tottenham to the next level.

And his first signing is likely to be a new goalkeeper with Hugo Lloris heading for the exit door. A club legend, the World Cup winner will be remembered as one of Tottenham’s greatest ever signings from abroad. And having made 447 appearances in that time, his presence around the club will be missed.

Sadly, though, Lloris’ form during his final season saw the player let his usual high standards drop.

And with a move to Saudi Arabia an option, Postecoglou is lining up Brentford’s David Raya as his replacement.

The 27-year-old is one of the best keepers in the Premier League, having been linked with a move to Man Utd.

Now according to the Evening Standard, Tottenham have held talks with the keeper over the move.

And they are reportedly close to agreeing terms over a lucrative four-year deal to move across London.

Tottenham want Maddison and Kyogo to join Raya

Thankfully for Tottenham, there should not be too many issues in convincing Brentford to sell Raya either.

With a year left on his deal, the twice-capped Spain international has made it clear he won’t be signing an extension.

Leaving the Bees with little option to sell, they are reportedly seeking £40m for his signature.

Tottenham value Raya at nearer £35m, though agreeing a deal should prove too difficult.

Thomas Frank’s side have already signed Freiburg’s Dutch shot-stopper, Mark Flekken, in an £11m deal, as his replacement.

Hoping to join him, Tottenham also hope to sign Leicester’s James Maddison.

While he suffered relegation from the Premier League with the Foxes, he will soon be expected to seal a move away.

And with just a year left on his deal, Leicester are ready to listen to offers.

However, Sky Sports reports that Newcastle are currently ahead of Spurs in the race for his signing. Nonetheless, the attacking midfielder reportedly favours the move to London and will seemingly wait for Postecoglou to follow up on his rumoured interest.

Joining them both at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

The Japan striker has 54 goals in 83 appearances since moving to Glasgow from Vissel Kobe in 2021.

Now rumours are gathering pace that he will follow Postecoglou to London.

A fee in the region of £20m – £25m will reportedly be enough to convince Celtic to sell.

CHELSEA EYE ONANA AND OFFER INTER TWO STARS IN RETURN

New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to make Andre Onana his first signing at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are ready for a hectic summer as the Argentine gets to work on their underperforming squad.

And there will likely be far more departures than there are actual new signings due to the bloated nature of their playing squad.

However, there are plenty of positions Pochettino wants to strengthen – starting with a new goalkeeper.

And according to The Sun, Pochettino is desperate to bring in Cameroon star Onana.

He showed just how good a keeper he is in Inter’s run to the Champions League final. And while he could nothing to prevent their loss to Man City, he sealed his reputation as one of the world’s best with a solid display.

Now the Blues are going all out to bring Onana to south-west London.

They are reportedly demanding a huge £55m for the former Ajax man.

Chelsea, though, hope to convince Inter to sell by offering both Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly as part of the deal.

Lukaku played alongside Onana in Saturday’s final and is open to sealing a permanent return to Inter.

Koulibaly, meanwhile, looks likely to leave the Bridge just one season after a £33m move from Napoli.

Now the Blues hope Inter will accept both players as part of the deal. And Inter are stepping up plans to replace Onana by targeting Empoli keeper Guglielmo Vicario as his replacement.

MAN UTD TELL VILLA EXIT TERMS FOR HARRY MAGUIRE

Aston Villa are in talks with Manchester United over a possible move for Harry Maguire.

The England defender will likely fall to fifth choice at Old Trafford this summer if a deal for Kim Min-jae goes through. And clearly that makes the position of the Red Devils club captain untenable, with a move away now on the agenda.

United are reported to have let it be known that their £80m signing from Leicester can leave this summer.

And according to reports, Newcastle, Tottenham and Villa are emerging as potential suitors.

However, it is Villa who are seemingly in the lead with Unai Emery reportedly keen to bring Maguire to Villa Park.

Man Utd captain Harry Maguire

Per The Sun, though, United have responded by laying out their terms for his departure.

And the player claims that while United would prefer a permanent sale, they will allow him to leave on an initial loan as long as there is an option to make the move permanent at a fixed price.

That seems like an option Villa could take up, with a move not unlikely to be difficult to finalise.

Maguire earns a reported £200,000 a week at Old Trafford and Villa are also reportedly prepared to match his wages.

Newcastle, however, could yet make a counter offer. Eddie Howe wants a new defender this summer ahead of their Champions League return and had also been targeting Napoli star Kim. But with the Red Devils likely to win that transfer race, they will reportedly turn attention to Maguire instead.
