Sergio Ramos opens the door to Real Madrid for Paul Pogba
Sergio Ramos has opened the door for Paul Pogba to move to Real Madrid.
The legendary Real centre-back has said that “Real Madrid always has the door open for good players” despite the fact the transfer window closed last week.
The Manchester United midfielder is understood to have attempted to push through a move to the Bernabeu over the summer, but United did not want to sell the former Juventus man.
A move never materialised for Pogba, despite his brother Mathias claiming in late August that the France World Cup winner could still move before the European transfer window closed.
“I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him,” Ramos told the Daily Express.
“For me, Pogba is one of the great players. He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United.
“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”
Repeating similar claims to what he said earlier in the summer, Mathias recently told Spanish publication AS: “Everyone knows my brother would be great for Real Madrid and Zidane.
“It’s Real Madrid and Manchester United who need to talk.
“Zidane has always spoken highly of my brother, it’s an honour. Another thing is that they listen to him.”
French sports daily L’Equipe reported that United are ready to offer the 26-year-old a new lucrative contract to further secure his future at Old Trafford.
