Neymar urges Ramos to sign for PSG and says huge renewals will follow

Neymar, Kylian Mbappe

Sergio Ramos has reportedly been urged to sign for Paris Saint-Germain by Neymar, who claims the Ligue 1 champions can dominate Europe.

Real Madrid stalwarts Ramos is out of contract next summer and will be free to talk to other clubs from 1 January if an agreement has not been reached.

AS report that negotiations between club skipper Ramos and Madrid are currently deadlocked.

The 34-year-old is understood to be asking for a two-year extension. Los Blancos are only willing to offer a one-year deal with an optional further 12 months.

Waiting in the wings are PSG, with AS claiming the French giants are ready to offer him a three-year contract worth d €20m net, €8m more than he currently earns.

Now though Alfredo Duro on the El Chiringuito show and carried by Diario Sport say Neymar has intervened.

The former Barcelona man has spoken to Ramos in a bid to persuade the Spain defender to move to Paris.

“Sergio, if you sign for PSG, I’ll renew the next day,” is what Neymar is reported to have said. “After me, Kylian Mbappe will renew. If you join PSG we will win at least two European Cups.”

Ramos has written himself into football folklore in Madrid. He has won five La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys, four Spanish Super Cups, four Champions Leagues, three European Super Cups, four Club World Cups, one U19 European Championship, two European Championships and the 2010 World Cup.

Ronaldo recommendation

A move away from the team he joined from Sevilla in 2004 would be a huge decision. An extension to his deal in Madrid is still a more likely outcome.

However, he is a man in demand and Cristiano Ronaldo wants Juventus to push the boat out to sign Ramos next summer.

Ronaldo is good friends with Ramos from his time at the Bernabeu and he is pushing for Juve to land the player.

Ramos gave Ronaldo a fitting tribute when he left Madrid for Turin two years ago, saying on Instagram: “Cristiano, your goals, your numbers and everything we’ve won together speak for themselves.”

Eduardo Inda revealed on Spain’s El Chiringuito programme that Ronaldo has recommended the Spain star to Andrea Pirlo.
