Euro Paper Talk: Man Utd agree five-year deal for quality midfield signing as Ten Hag puts four up for sale; Tottenham deal done as star looks for house in Madrid

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is a top target for Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag

Manchester United are closing on a deal for Sofyan Amrabat after agreeing terms on a five-year deal, a Tottenham star is house-hunting in Madrid ahead of his move, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk has an update on Newcastle’s £80m interest in the world’s best player.

SOFYAN AMRABAT NEARS MAN UTD MOVE AS PERSONAL TERMS ARE AGREED

Manchester United are reportedly closing on the signing of Sofyan Amrabat after agreeing personal terms for the Morocco midfielder.

United boss Erik ten Hag has already brought in Mason Mount and Andre Onana this summer to the combined tune of £98m. However, his business is far from done with three more possible deals in the works for the Red Devils.

First up, the signing of Rasmus Hojlund will be pushed through once an agreement with Atalanta can be reached. To push things along, the Serie A side have already agreed a fee for El Bilal Toure as his replacement.

And once that deal is done, United can then expect to quickly wrap up signing number four in the form of Amrabat.

The Fiorentina midfielder caught the eye with a series of stellar displays at the World Cup as his nation reached the semi-finals.

But with a year left on his deal, a move away from La Viola looks increasingly likely, with Manchester United leading that pursuit.

SportItalia claim the 26-year-old returned to pre-season training with the Serie A side on Monday. However, he is not expected to be there long with talks ongoing over a move to Old Trafford.

And the report claims the two clubs are likely to settle on a fee worth an initial €22m to €25m (£18.9m to £21.5m), with bonuses taking the deal up to the €30m (£25.8m) mark.

To speed things along, it’s now claimed Amrabat has agreed terms on a four-year deal, with the option of a fifth year, at Old Trafford. He will sign up for €4m a year, which equates to £66,000 a week.

Man Utd put four more players up for sale

To facilitate United’s moves for the two players, Ten Hag has reportedly told the club to sell four more stars this summer.

The Red Devils have already waved farewell to Anthony Elanga, Alex Telles, David De Gea, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones and Zidane Iqbal.

However, their clearout is far from over with Ten Hag making clear that four others are available for exits too.

And according to Football Insider, United are actively seeking suitors for Fred, Scott McTominay, Dean Henderson and Eric Bailly.

Fred has interest in him from Fulham and clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and has a £20m asking price on his head.

McTominay is wanted by Newcastle, and comes with a £40m valuation.

Henderson is reportedly closing on a move to Nottingham Forest and will likely generate an additional £20m.

Bailly, meanwhile, has a year left on his deal and is up for sale for just £10m.

If United achieve their desired prices, then their exits could generate up to £90m.
