Euro Paper Talk: Klopp on cloud nine as top Liverpool transfer target ‘dreams’ of Premier League move; trusted source confirms Man Utd can complete £11m attacker steal

Liverpool have a great chance at landing a Serie A star as he ‘dreams’ of moving to the Premier League, Manchester United can sign a World Cup-winning forward for just £10.6million, while Monday’s Euro Paper Talk claims AC Milan hope to capture an electric Arsenal player.

KLOPP DELIGHT AS FABRIZIO ROMANO CONFIRMS TARGET’S ‘DREAM’

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has put Liverpool on red alert by revealing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot would love to move to England, amid Jurgen Klopp pursuing the France international.

Rabiot almost joined Man Utd in the summer when Erik ten Hag was looking to bolster his midfield with one or two new signings. In the end, though, talks broke down as Man Utd were unwilling to meet his lofty wage demands.

Man Utd instead went on to sign Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. Rabiot, meanwhile, remained at Juve. He is enjoying a good season with the Italian outfit, having registered six goals and two assists in 26 appearances.

WhoScored give him an average rating of 7.14 for the campaign, which is the highest of any Juve player.

But Rabiot is unlikely to stay in Turin beyond the current season. His contract there expires in June, which means he will then be able to join another team on a free transfer.

Juve’s chances of tying the 27-year-old down to a new contract were significantly reduced when they were hit with a 15-point deduction by Italian football authorities due to ‘financial irregularities and false accounting’. This means Juve are some way off Champions League qualification, a competition Rabiot definitely wants to be playing in.

There was a big update on his future recently. As per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, fans should ‘watch out for Liverpool’ as they are emerging in the race to snare Rabiot.

Reports in the Spanish media name Newcastle United as another potential destination for him.

Juventus ace gunning for Prem switch

Klopp has now been given a major boost in his hopes of landing Rabiot after finding out the former Paris Saint-Germain star hopes to play in the Premier League.

During an interview with CaughtOffside, Romano said: “Rabiot could leave Juventus as a free agent in the summer. The Premier League is his biggest dream.

“He’d love to play in England, but he doesn’t have a favourite club, or at least not that I’m not aware of at the moment.

“Rabiot does not want to negotiate with anyone else now, he wants to focus on Juventus and then in April/May he will start exploring options for his future.”

It seems Rabiot is not leaning towards one particular English side currently. But Liverpool will aim to change that by putting themselves at the front of the queue for his services.

As Romano states, Rabiot is intent on continuing his successful individual campaign with Juve. He does not want his form to drop due to him focusing too much on a potential transfer.

However, as the season’s end draws closer, the player will begin to weigh up the options available to him. And Liverpool are highly likely to come up on his radar.

Rabiot would be a great signing for Liverpool. Klopp is in dire need of a midfield revamp and Rabiot could join alongside Jude Bellingham to provide the manager with just that.

Liverpool will probably have to spend upwards of £100m to sign Bellingham. So by capturing Rabiot on a free, they would be saving money to deal with Borussia Dortmund for Bellingham.

The one issue the Reds must overcome is Rabiot’s financial demands. Man Utd could not match them last year, which suggests they are quite high. As such, Liverpool chiefs must decide whether Rabiot’s impact on the pitch is worth his big wage.
