France star offered gigantic bonus to reject Arsenal, Liverpool and renew at club, as most likely Prem suitor emerges

France midfielder Adrien Rabiot has reportedly been sent a colossal contract offer by Juventus as they try and persuade him to reject the advances of Arsenal and Liverpool, plus other Premier League clubs.

Rabiot is enjoying a purple patch at the moment. In the build up to the Qatar World Cup, he registered three goals and two assists in five Serie A matches for Juventus. That included a brace during the 4-0 rout over Empoli on October 21.

Rabiot continued his impressive form while representing France at the World Cup. He bagged a goal and an assist during the 4-1 comeback win against Australia in the opening group game.

The 27-year-old played in six matches as France reached the final. Unfortunately for Rabiot and his team-mates, they could not repeat their success from 2018. They were beaten by Argentina on penalties.

Rabiot is now back at Juve and looking to resolve his future. It is unclear where he will be playing come the end of January, or the start of next season, given the fact his Juve contract expires on June 30.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star is open about his desire to move to the Premier League. He has never played in England before and clearly wants to try himself out in what many view as the strongest division in the world.

And several English clubs have been linked with Rabiot. Tottenham and Liverpool both admire him and could launch moves in the near future.

But it is Arsenal who seem to be pushing hardest to capture Rabiot. On Monday, reports in Italy claimed Arsenal to be working to get Rabiot’s signing over the line. They are apparently in talks with Juve over a cut-price move worth £12m, due to Rabiot’s expiring deal.

Juventus send player major contract offer

There has now been a big twist in the transfer saga after an update from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. They claim the player could now reject advances from the Prem and remain at Juve after a big contract offer was submitted.

Juve have supposedly put a colossal wage bid on the table which includes as much as €7m (£6.1m) in potential bonuses. Juve officials hope this will be enough to get Rabiot to stay in Turin.

The report does not reveal exactly what the player’s wages would be. But he could become one of the highest earners at the club, up there with the likes of Dusan Vlahovic and Leonardo Bonucci.

While the contract offer points to Rabiot remaining where he is, there has also been an update on Newcastle’s pursuit of him.

Adrien Rabiot reaches surprise Newcastle decision

Surprisingly, Gazzetta dello Sport name the Magpies as the most likely Prem destination, should Rabiot opt to leave Juve.

The 35-cap international has supposedly told Newcastle he is willing to join them on a free transfer at the end of the campaign. But this will only happen if they qualify for next season’s Champions League.

There is a good chance of Newcastle making the top four, too. Currently, they sit in third place with a four-point advantage on Tottenham, who occupy fifth spot.

This is a slightly confusing update. It hints that Rabiot could pen an extension with Juve, though he is also considering a move to Newcastle.

Perhaps his mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, is in dialogue with the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle simply to get Juve to pay more.

But the Serie A giants are not as wealthy as their English counterparts. Due to this, the €7m bonus offer will likely be as far as they can go. As such, Rabiot now needs to decide whether to accept that renewal offer or to leave for the Prem.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has given all the details after Arsenal made a second proposal for Mykhaylo Mudryk.
